Club Penguin Journey is currently celebrating 3 years of operations with its 3rd Anniversary Party! Aliens Leader Ams has written a detailed guide for this party. It covers all of the new/returning games, mascot visitations, party stamps, as well as all of the free items found around the island (including all of the CPJ-exclusive puffles!
However, I'd like to take a moment to welcome the return of one of the CPJ's rarest items: the Experimental Penguin Transformation! This transformation is a personal favorite of mine.
This transformation is once again available by way of playing JourneyScape until February 15th, 2026. In this guide, I will show you how to get one for yourself before the party is over!
Obtaining
As mentioned above, this transformation can only be obtained by playing JourneyScape. To play JourneyScape, head to the Dance Lounge (upstairs in the Nightclub) and step through the portal in the center of the room.
JourneyScape plays like a traditional board game, with the player advancing through the game one space at a time.
At the top right corner of your screen, you will see how many points you have. Points are used to buy items from various mascots you meet throughout the game.
At the bottom right corner, you will see the spinner. The spinner will be used to determine your next move.
The spinner may give you points, it may take points, or it may tell you to advance a certain number of spaces. You can always veto the result of the spinner by paying one point, however you may want to avoid that.
The Experimental Penguin transformation will be sold by one of two mascots: Rory or Cadence. It will cost you 15 points to acquire.
You may have to be strategic, and patient. You need to land on one of their shops AND have 15 points at the same time.
Once you end up at one of their shops, you'll be presented with three cases. If you are at one of Rory's shops, the Experimental Penguin will almost certainly be in the golden 15-point case on the left.
If you end up at one of Cadence's shops, things will be a little less predictable. Because ALL of Cadence's items cost 15 points, the Experimental Penguin may be in any of the three cases presented before you.
However, once you unlock the right case, you will receive the Experimental Penguin transformation! Congratulations!
